We collect the following information through Firebase services:

• Your name, email, and password (via Firebase Authentication)
• Student data (name, email, progress reports), accessible only to the registered user who created them

1.1 Local Device Storage

To enhance performance and offline access, our app may store non-sensitive data locally on your device using secure storage methods (such as SharedPreferences).

This may include:

• Local sync timestamps used to determine when remote data needs refreshing
• Cached student data for faster access within the app
• User interface preferences

This data remains on your device and is not shared with external servers unless explicitly required as part of a user-initiated sync process. Local cached data is cleared when you sign out of the app.

1.2 Calendar Access

With your explicit permission, our app may access your device's calendar to allow you to view, create, edit or remove calendar events related to lessons or scheduled activities.

Please note:

• Calendar access is optional and user-controlled, for the calendar features in the app.
• Events are only created or modified through direct user actions, into the calendar the user selects.
• No calendar data is collected, stored or transmitted to our servers.

You may revoke calendar access at any time through your device's system settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Create and manage your account
• Allow access to and management of student profiles
• Generate progress summaries and reports
• Integrate lesson scheduling with your device calendar (if enabled)
• Improve app performance and functionality

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process personal data based on:

• Your consent (given during registration and through in-app permissions)
• Our legitimate interest to provide and improve our educational services

5. Data Storage and Security

All cloud-based data is securely stored in Firebase Firestore and protected by encryption and authentication protocols.

Local data stored on your device is sandboxed by the operating system and accessible only to this app.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Our app now includes a paywall. To access all features a subscription is required, which is handled securely through your app store. We do not collect or store your payment information directly.

You can also manage your subscription via your app store.

7. Third-Party Services

We use:

• Firebase – authentication and cloud data storage
• Lottie by Airbnb – for displaying animations
• RevenueCat - for subscriptions

7.1 External Links

We use url_launcher to direct you to external resources, such as:

• The Apple's End User License Agreement (EULA)
• Subscription management

These links open in your device's browser.

8. Use of Device Features

With your permission, our app may access your device’s camera or file system if you choose to attach screenshots, photos, or documents while using features such as contact support or sending progress reports (e.g., via email). This access is optional, user-initiated, and no files are uploaded or accessed automatically without your action. You can revoke these permissions at any time via your device settings.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our app is not intended for users under 13 (or under 16 in the EU) without guardian consent. We do not knowingly collect data from children directly.
