My Account
Q: How do I view my account details?
A: Tap on the Account icon, which can be seen on the top right of the app bar.
Q: How do I reset my password?
A: Go to the Accounts page, then tap 'Change password' and follow the instructions shown on screen to reset your password.
Q: How do I delete my account?
A: Go to the Accounts page, tap the 'Delete account', and follow the instructions that pop up, to delete all account information from you account including students, and progress reports linked to the account.
Q: Can other instructors see my students?
A: No. Only the instructor who added a student can view or edit that student’s progress.
Students
Q: How do I add a student?
A: Go to the student section, tap '+ Add student', then enter their name and email, and tap 'add student'.
Q: How do I edit a student?
A: Go to the student list, tap the student's name, then tap the 'edit' button next to their name to update their details.
Q: How do I delete a student?
A: Go to the student list, next to the student's name will be a 'passed' button, when you click 'passed' you will have a pop up which will alert you to allow deleting the student, and their relevant data as well as their progress reviews.
Progress & Reviews
Q: How do I create a progress review for a student?
A: Click on the student you wish to create a progress review for. Then click '+ Add progress review', and score the relevant fields, and click 'View summary'. NOTE: must be saved first (by pressing save on summary view), then you can email from student view of summary.
Q: How do I email a progress review to a student?
A: Tap on the student's name, review their progress log, and tap 'Send Email'. The app will produce a email in your default email app, which allows you to send the progress review to the saved student email address. Optional attachments like images or documents may be added through your email app before sending.
Lessons
Q: What are lessons based on?
A: The lessons are designed to illustrate a driving concept visually.
Q: How do I view a lesson?
A: Go to the Lessons page, and select the relevant category, and then select the lesson you wish to view, and click play.
Q: How to find relevant lessons within a lesson?
A: When you are viewing a lesson, you can find relevant lessons by clicking 'Road options'.
Calendar
Q: How do I connect a calendar?
A: Go to the Calendars page, and click 'Select a calendar', if permissions have been accepted, you can chose any calendar on your device's calendar. When you select the calendar and confirm your choice, you will see the calendar view and have successfully connected it.
Q: How does Road Motions use my device calendar?
A: With your permission, Road Motions can view, create, edit or delete events in the users selected device calendar. This helps keep your lesson schedule in sync with the chosen calendar.
Q: Is Calendar access required?
A: No. Calendar access is entirely optional and controlled by you. You can choose not to grant access or revoke it at any time through your device settings.
Q: If I am not connected to a calendar, can I still schedule an appointment at the end of a progress review?
A: Yes. Although note this appointment is for the email part of the progress review, and will not be saved anywhere as no calendar is connected.
Q: Does Road Motions collect calendar data?
A: No. Events are only created or modified through your direct actions on the selected calendar. Calendar information is not stored or transmitted to our servers.
Q: Can I remove events created by Road Motions?
A: Yes. Any events added by the app are fully manageable within your device's calendar app.
Offline Sync & Local Data
Q: What happens if i'm offline?
A: The app will still work and store updates locally. When you're back online changes like added students or progress reviews will sync automatically. A manual 'Sync' option is also available in the app if needed. Local data is cleared when you sign out.
Subscriptions & Access
Road Motions now requires a subscription to access app features. If you're experiencing access issues:
Ensure your subscription is active in your app store.
Restart the app to refresh your subscription.
Use a stable internet connection during verification.

Road Motions may request access to your device's calendar, camera or file storage for optional features such as lesson scheduling or attaching files to emails. All permissions are user controlled and can be revoked at any time through your device settings.
